Widening participation across London's medical schools
London is proud of its diversity and commitment to equality of opportunity. As part of this ethos, our five medical schools provide support to people who show academic promise but come from underrepresented groups. Below, you'll find a summary of the targeted support they offer.

Medical school access programmes in London
Imperial College London

Pathways to Medicine is the access programme running at Imperial College London. This programme includes mentoring, a summer school, a work placement and taster events.
Vision is the medical students’ union where they share useful information and upcoming events to attend.
Deadline for Widening Participation Programme: January of year 11.
University College London

Target Medicine is the access programme running at UCL, which also provides a mentoring scheme. Alongside, there are taster days, summer schools and a summer challenge.

St George’s, University of London

The SMF runs an Aspiring Professionals City Programme, which incorporates those looking to study medicine.
Sutton Trust runs Pathways to Medicine with Health Education England and Imperial College. They are also run a separate summer school with King’s College London.
